Uses “known” technology. Can produce energy even when oil and coal become scarce. Cheap to mine. Easy to transport. Can sometimes be renewable depending on the type of reactor being used. Reliable. Less expensive than oil, coal, and natural gas. Would make jobs for people
Cons of Nuclear Energy: Produces very dangerous (Radioactive) waste. Takes a long time to build factories. Would be a preferred target for terrorist attacks. Costs a lot to build factories. Waste lasts a long time. Uranium will run out eventually. Radioactive waste might give people radiation sickness (Very low possibility though). Produces other types of pollution. Would need a place to put waste.
